Early in 2024 I build a eurorack case into a plastic suitcase, which holds two times 68hp of modules. I equipped this case with some of my modules and took it along on the family vacation. Originally to fumble around with, not having the intention to produce an album. I set up a small and very improvised studio in the attic of the cottage. Besides the eurorack modules the only other gear involved in the production was a Zoom H1 portable recorder, which allowed me to do some field recordings. Some of these found its way into the tunes. Ultimately this eight tunes came together.
It is a snapshot in time. A snapshot in Slow Petes continuous endeavour in sound, created in the same place on the same equipment.
This album was produced and recorded between the 28th of July and the 9th of August 2024 in a town called Mommark, Denmark.

1. Ambientlandsession
[audio:http://thetarecords.de/ambientlandsession.mp3]
This is a recording of a concert given by reverse angle earlier this year in a concert session event called Ambientland. As the name implies the music heard in this session touches the ambient genre, however can’t be filed solely in this drawer. Different layers of sound and sometimes even noise mutations span through the 57:30 minutes, laying the foundation for various field recording snippets. Familar sounds can be heard in an alienated environment. The hole situation, unintentionaly, payes tribune to the great soundwizards of the german seventies.

This is reverse angle’s second release on theta records. The tracklist goes as follows:
1. Darjeeling
[audio:http://thetarecords.de/Darjeeling_224.mp3]
2. Assam
[audio:http://thetarecords.de/Assam_224.mp3]
3. China Gunpowder
[audio:http://thetarecords.de/China_Gunpowder_224.mp3]
Tea Age deals with the musical side of tea. Darjeeling starts with a piano intro. As time passes the piano is accompanied by strange noises and funny sounds. Assam comes around rather ambientish but envolves into a full bodied track and just like the tea itself, having a strong flavor. The China Gunpowder track creates a warm atmosphere out of some noisy auditory events. At times it seems like a soundtrack to a psychedelic adventure computergame. Heavy as hell.
Download the whole release here. The zip-file includes the three tracks listed above in a 320 bit mp3 quality, the cover and the backside of the promotion sheet.

An other project of reverse angle is going to land on earth. At the minute it is still on it’s way through the hyperspace, travelling in an old rusty spaceship. It will arrive in autumn this year. I can’t tell exactly what it is about, but there will be enough time for drinking a decent cup of tea. And there will be some fine artwork as well.
Stay tuned…

Ein Tag im März is set of live improvisations done by reverse angle earlier this year. The tracklist goes like this:
1. Abgeholzt
[audio:http://thetarecords.de/1_Abgeholzt.mp3]
2. Reich und Obertöne
[audio:http://thetarecords.de/2_Reich_und_Obertoene.mp3]
3. Ausgeträumt
[audio:http://thetarecords.de/3_Ausgetraeumt.mp3]
Abgeholtz absorbs the attention of the listener by its epic and open sound structure. The track itself takes some exciting turns and finally stops at its most dramatic point. Reich und Obertöne is domianted by repetitive grooves and is occasionally interrupted by elements of chaos and anarchy. Within 21 minutes it develops an hypnotic effect, which makes you memorize this track in a positiv manner. Ausgeträumt is covered by spatial sound effects which create a pleasant atmosphere feeling like hovering five miles over the ground on a bright day.
Download the whole release here. The zip-file includes the three tracks listed above and a high resolution cover. The credit for the artwork goes to David Wolpert.

The Mindliberation Soundsystem are reva and der schwarm. Together they are producing stangely familiar sounds. A life improvised features a liveset which they performed on the 5th of july at the Kopfsülz store in Aachen. On this record you will find some rather warm and organic beats, sometimes amorphous and chaotic. On occation there are some lyrics around. The instrumentation is certainly unique. I’m not exactly sure what sorts of noise producing tools were used in this episode but it is lot of pleasure listening to it. The tracklist reads as follows:
1. Genesis
2. Der Sonntag
[audio:http://www.thetarecords.de/wp-content/uploads/kopfsulztracks_02.mp3]
3. Sonntag Nachmittag
4. Bambus Step
[audio:http://www.thetarecords.de/wp-content/uploads/kopfsulztracks_04.mp3]
5. Das Weisse Rauschen
6. Noisery
7. Elvis Has Left The Building
The total playtime of the record is 66 minutes and 15 seconds.

The Theta Records Mix CD Vol. 1 is a collection of tracks which defines the spectrum of music Theta records is up to. The 40 minute Mix pays tribute to the classical 70’s Dub music as well as to the contemporary Dubstep scene. Beside the Dub references you’ll find two rather experimental German productions from the late 70’s in the Mix, which are still worth listening today. The third party in the mix represents producers, making instrumental music, which builds a loose link to Hiphop. The Mix CD is packed in a silver metal Box. It contains a handmade booklet, the CD itself and a tracklist. The booklet cover is available in 4 colors: purple, yellow, green and light blue. The CD is available for 5 Euro + delivery charge.
The delivery charges are:
- Berlin: free
- Germany: 1 Euro
- Europe: 2,50 Euro
